One of the best things about bridal sessions is the way a bride can pull in tradition and wedding day aesthetic for a memorable moment during the wedding planning period. For Austin, she wanted to honor past loved ones through her session with Ashley Glasco Photography, so she donned her wedding attire at her grandparents' river house in Tappahannock where she frequently vacationed while growing up.

With a dropped waist, ruffled skirt, and a sweetheart neckline, Austin's classic gown complemented the coastal vibes of her location perfectly. To pull in the sentimental memories, Ashley made sure to capture Austin at the hammock one-seater swing where her late cousin used to love to enjoy summer days as well as the boat ramp where her beloved grandfather used to dock his boat with the channel marker in the background. It was a beautiful and emotional day for everyone, but to be able to pass down these gorgeous photos to future generations just made it all the more special.

For Hampton Roads residents, military weddings symbolize pride, tradition, and a whole lot of love. Sarah and Nick took their nautical theme to beautiful new heights on their wedding day at the Founders Inn and Spa in Virginia Beach as Leigh Skaggs Photography captured each and every moment. Although wedding planning during Nick's Navy deployment and Sarah's time in nursing school was difficult, when all the details came together, it proved to be worth every second.

With anchors on everything from the invitations to adorable anchor chocolate wedding favors to signs all over their ceremony and reception, it was a nautical-filled wonderland to get everyone in the celebration spirit. Navy blue bridesmaid dresses perfectly complemented Nick's dapper dress whites as the traditional Arch of Swords greeted the couple in their new life together. We can think of no better quote for this newly married bride and groom than the one they chose for their reception: "In high tide or low tide, I'll be by your side."
