Luxuriously Elegant Estate Wedding Inspiration

Mustard yellow never looked so good! This luxuriously exquisite wedding inspiration shoot is one for the story books! Inspired by the grandeur of Dover Hall in Richmond and simple elegance in details, this creative team dreamed up a vision that sweeps us away into fairytales and endless romance. (Did you know the ballroom at Dover Hall was actually originally designed with Disney's Beauty and the Beast's iconic ballroom inspiration in mind? Heck yes to major swoonage!)

Captured by Lissa Ryan Photography and coordinated by Claire Duran Weddings & Events, dapples of yellow pop out against the cool grays of the venue's stonework and the dark blues of the groom's tailored suit. A tiered creamy cake with tiny gilded roses is transformed into a modern beauty with giant white sugar blooms while the bride dons a gown of cascading lace designs with chiffon overlays. The delicate calligraphy on handmade paper envelopes just adds to the dreaminess of this shoot! For couples looking for understated elegance with maximum romance, this will immediately enchant your heart and whisk you away into magical wedding bliss.

Woodland Wonderland Wedding Must Haves

Cozy forest days are ahead as summer comes to end! As fellow animal lovers, we have always been obsessed with the idea of creatures being incorporated into weddings. (Hopefully you've picked up on that if you're a longtime reader!) And the woodland trend isn't going anywhere anytime soon as couples look to refine the rustic theme into a true elegant outdoor celebration. From hand-painted cake toppers to mossy ring boxes to chic acorn pearl necklaces, there's a little bit of everything for anyone dreaming of tying the knot under a canopy of large oak trees and dancing the night away under glittering stars. Give nature a touch of wedding goodness and celebrate the beauty outdoors! Curated from Etsy, we explored to find our most elegant favorites for any bride or groom who prefers birdwatching and sharing morning coffee over the campfire.

Rustic Tropical Inspired Animal Lovers' Wedding

Calling all animal lovers – this wedding is safari perfect! Set against the background of the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk, Hannah and Will made their day all about bright colors, fun creatures, and the love they share with each other. We are smitten with the adorable animal table numbers (just look at that fun toucan!) and the jewel-toned teal and orange invitations adorned with lions, leopards, and elephants (oh my!) to kick off the celebration.

Molly Lichten Photography captured both the details and the fun-loving, joyful spirit Hannah and Will shared on the day they said I do. On top of the quirky chic jungle-inspired details, Fleur de Lis Event Consulting coordinated a gorgeous day of vibrant puffy florals, custom painted wooden signs, and a decked-out reception space with bamboo chairs, mismatched linen napkins, and wicker chargers, that made our hearts swoon. This zoo wedding is a total dream for those wild at heart!

Hues of Blues: Monochromatic Coastal Wedding Inspiration

Hello, dreamy blues for days! In collaboration with Aisle Society for David’s Bridal, get ready to be utterly smitten with the romance that is monochromatic and David's Bridal's latest Fall 2017 collection. Inspired by fresh and modern aesthetic, there is a lot of "something blue" from which to choose for your coastal wedding day. From a collection of cascading tassels above an artfully-designed white cake to an epic long floral centerpiece of locally well-loved hydrangeas that serves as a table runner to a trendy blue crushed velvet backdrop for portraits, you won't even know where to begin to pin.

Ethereal and textural, the embroidered sheath wedding dress designed by Melissa Sweet for David's Bridal gives off an icy blue tint over soft layers of ivory tulle and lace that is complemented perfectly by the trio of dusty and pastel blue bridesmaid dresses. Hand-dyed shibori napkins for the reception tables mimicked the soft watercolor patches on the stationery (also found at David's Bridal!) while a grand harlequin-style tile ceremony altar backdrop literally takes center stage in this gorgeous shoot.

Cassi Claire captured all the sapphire and sky-colored details dreamed up by this incredible creative team, and we just can't get enough! Sure, we're a little biased when it comes to blue around here, and this color palette continues to fuel that obsession!

Romantic Modern Handmade Wedding by the Bay

When two photographers get married, you know it's going to be personal and picturesque! With soft muted colors, gorgeous flowers, and the romance of a misty day, Shannon and Leigh's Gloucester wedding by the bay was everything you would hope for in a summer celebration. From a floral bridal crown dappled with anemones that complemented her garden bouquet, mismatched flowing bridesmaid dresses in shades of gray, lavender, and pink, handmade ribbon draping for the ceremony altar, to a unique vintage rose-colored oval engagement ring, we are swooning over the moments and details captured beautifully by Nicki Metcalf Photography and coordinated by Sunkissed Events.

A heartfelt ceremony surrounded by their closest loved ones was followed by a fun wedding reception under their clear tent sparkling with bistro lights. Guests made things special with a self-photo guestbook (because #photographerwedding, of course) and centerpieces surrounded with spools of hand-dyed silk ribbon brought their color palette to the tables. Shannon and Leigh’s dessert table has to be one of our favorites because of the all the yummy treats, especially their stacked Oreo cake adorned with a handmade watercolor sign by the bride. To cap everything off, these two lovebirds chose to have a lantern release that left us brimming with all the feels and swoons.

Vibrantly Tropical Wedding Inspiration

Break out the palm frond fans because we have a massive case of tropical swoons! This colorful wedding inspiration shoot at the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk boasts a vivacious color palette of magenta, tangerine orange, and emerald green that beckons us into perfect summer wedding ideas.

Captured by Elizabeth Henson Photos and designed by Raise The Ruth Events, pincushion protea, orchids, and birds of paradise florals set the textural tone for a gorgeously humid (without the actual humidity!) celebration. With soft romantic makeup accentuated by a vibrant bridal flower crown and soft curls, shimmers of gold painted on a small tiered wedding cake, and monstera leaf plate decor, the rain forest vibe totally came alive through this whole wedding team's creative vision. For couples who live life radiantly and are looking to share their bold spirits with their wedding guests, this elegant tropical fĂȘte theme is just what you need to dish up some signature cocktails in coconuts and dance as newlyweds surrounded by the romantic light of fireflies and hazy moonlight.

They have been with you through the good times and the bad. Maybe through a few pints of Chunky Monkey ice cream, the minutes before adopting the cutest kitten ever, or that painful half-marathon when you are starting to get a cold. However your friendship bonded, those ladies (and even gents!) are now going to be standing with you as you start the next big chapter of your life with your forever partner, so it's only natural that you would want to spoil them in small and big ways to say thanks. So in partnership with POPSUGAR Must Have Box, we've rounded up our favorite ways to spoil your besties during your engagement. No matter if they are near or far, it's all about showing some extra love for your wedding support system!

Lavender and Gray Foodie-Inspired Wedding

We swoon for love stories of high school sweethearts getting married, and for Tyler and Julia, their first job at the young age of 15 eventually led to a lifetime together, even if it took a few years to realize that they were meant to be! Because they met at Chick-fil-A, they knew that incorporating foodie elements – and the iconic "Eat Mor Chikin" cow as a wedding favor – was an absolute must. From wood-fired pizza for dinner to a sweet handmade donut wall paired with iced coffee as their unique dessert, this was indeed a deliciously wonderful wedding day.

Captured by Caitlin Gerres Photography, the pastel lavender and gray color palette Tyler and Julia chose added the perfect accent to greenery entwined in the bouquets and centerpieces for a timeless celebration at Noah's Event Venue in Chesapeake. One of our favorite details though? We are obsessed with Julia's cathedral length veil!
