Romantic Modern Handmade Wedding by the Bay

When two photographers get married, you know it's going to be personal and picturesque! With soft muted colors, gorgeous flowers, and the romance of a misty day, Shannon and Leigh's Gloucester wedding by the bay was everything you would hope for in a summer celebration. From a floral bridal crown dappled with anemones that complemented her garden bouquet, mismatched flowing bridesmaid dresses in shades of gray, lavender, and pink, handmade ribbon draping for the ceremony altar, to a unique vintage rose-colored oval engagement ring, we are swooning over the moments and details captured beautifully by Nicki Metcalf Photography and coordinated by Sunkissed Events.

A heartfelt ceremony surrounded by their closest loved ones was followed by a fun wedding reception under their clear tent sparkling with bistro lights. Guests made things special with a self-photo guestbook (because #photographerwedding, of course) and centerpieces surrounded with spools of hand-dyed silk ribbon brought their color palette to the tables. Shannon and Leigh’s dessert table has to be one of our favorites because of the all the yummy treats, especially their stacked Oreo cake adorned with a handmade watercolor sign by the bride. To cap everything off, these two lovebirds chose to have a lantern release that left us brimming with all the feels and swoons.
