There is no way in all of the glass beakers in the world that I could have done this alone. My team of "mad scientists" seriously blew it out of the water and made me even prouder to be part of the Hampton Roads wedding community. These are the dream makers of wedded (and quirky Chelsea) bliss, friends!
With the new Virginia Beach venue Holly Ridge Manor as our setting, Sunkissed Events and Design, Distinctive Event Rentals, and Leslie Hartig Floral Design transformed their bridal suite into an intimate learning area with beakers, flowers (even my very own lab coat boutonniere! I'm taking science the classy route!), X-back chairs, and lab clipboards-- thankfully all captured by Leigh Skaggs Photography!
But while I personally love all the pretties, I'll always be a foodie and Southern hostess-to-the-max at heart, so no workshop I'm involved in is complete without the eats. We had a gourmet family-style lunch brimming with cheese platters, canapés, and sweets from Yummy Goodness Catering and an out-of-this-world Froyo Experiment Bar custom created by Zoyo Neighborhood Yogurt in Suffolk as the pièce de résistance. Between those Periodic Table of Elements-inspired yogurt labels to the dry ice spewing out of those gorgeous colored glass vessels to the ah-ha moments from everyone in attendance, it certainly has me excited for 2.0 later this year!
