Family heritage and heirloom items significantly also influenced the overall design of the big day. To honor the bride's late grandmother, the florals were of upmost importance, and thanks to their florist Sarena Floral Designs, they included many blooms that Alex's grandmother had in her own garden. She was a gifted gardener, and these seasonal blooms were a perfect way to honor her in the decor while her love of pearls played a special role in the bridal fashion and their wedding cake.
Photographed by J St. Clair Photography and coordinated by Bride and Joy Weddings, Alex and Matt knew they had to bring their golden puppers Murphy as a VID (very important dog, of course). They featured him in their signature cocktail accoutrements, on their wedding cake, and during their ceremony. We can definitely confirm that Murph is the very cutest in his little tuxedo collar!
We also especially loved the DIY details that Alex's younger sister and family friends created (as everyone knows our love for Cricut wedding ideas)! The signage, seating chart, and welcome sign all gave that personal touch for this summer wedding in the countryside.
