Photographed by Kasey Powell Weddings and coordinated by Southern Hospitality Weddings, vellum wedding invitations, a Pittsburgh wedding tradition of a cookie table (that included the couple's pug dog Squishy and fluffy kitty Rajah cameos!), and arch-shaped signage set the scene for a truly customized event at Haven on the Banks in Nags Head, North Carolina.
One of Angie and Matt's favorite moments was their traditional church ceremony where they shared their vows and made their commitment to each other before the official party began. We are huge fans of all florals, so what's not to love when you see textural flower arrangements and bouquets by Honeysuckle Events at every turn as you walk down the aisle!? Neutral-colored roses, orchids, dried flowers, pampas grass, and more were made for beach weddings! Pair it all with a showstopper tiered cake by Patty Bakes after the ceremony, and it's a sight for the eyes and tastebuds.
As if designing the wedding wasn't enough, Angie also took the coastal location into consideration when coming up with their wedding favors. Since there sometimes can be mosquitos, the bride made her own all-natural bug spray to help keep their guests smelling lovely and protected from unwanted insect bites as they danced into the night. It definitely came in handy when the wedding party and couple ventured off to portrait hotspot Jockey's Ridge for a little sandy dunes photo time!
From satin bridesmaid dresses to candlelit dining, Matt and Angie recalled that everything was 100% perfect thanks to everyone's creative spirits, love-filled laughter, and one heckuva wedding destination.
