Autumnal Floral Beauty and Modern Elegance for Days

Traveling all the way from the San Francisco Bay area, Dennis and Emily chose the beautiful waterfront venue Upper Shirley Vineyards in Charles City, Virginia for their special day. Even with having to reschedule once from the early onset of the pandemic, they knew they still had made the right choice when they could finally celebrate in late 2021. The wide open grounds provided a gorgeous backdrop with a cleared area for their tent to comfortably hold all of their guests against the picture perfect natural setting photographed by Alex C Tenser.

One of Emily's favorite memories was the collective gift from her bridesmaids: a donation to the National Park Foundation in her name due to her love of the outdoors, hiking, and camping. The couple shared that they also greatly appreciated the quiet moments away from the wedding hubbub that was just the two of them watching the sunset transform into evening. Any pandemic-affected couple knows how important those moments together are!

Coordinated by Glint Events, Emily and Dennis' autumnal wedding of muted peaches, pinks, and reds gave all the cozy elegant vibes, especially through their florals. Their double hexagon arch anchored their ceremony beautifully once decorated with dreamy roses, magnolia leaves, and pampas grass by Olivera Floral Design. We particularly love the mismatched bridesmaid dresses that complemented every lady's personal style while staying on point with the color palette.

For the post-ceremony fun, the two lovebirds opted for a simple white drip wedding cake as well as a live band to keep everyone on the dance floor all night long. When it felt like forever before everyone could get together safely in a COVID era, Emily and Dennis definitely made the most of it surrounded by their friends and family!
