Total Classic Vibes at this Virginia House Wedding

All thanks to mutual friends and a bowling alley birthday party, Laura and Ryan hit it off immediately when they first met, and it was just a matter of time until their memorable proposal at the Italian Gardens at Maymont sealed the deal to say I Do. When the newly engaged couple visited the stunning historic wedding venue, The Virginia House in Richmond, they knew it was to be where they would have their wedding celebration. With its elegant and romantic landscape, variety of wide open spaces, and Laura's love of burgundy red for a wedding color, the Virginia House would be the perfect backdrop for their classic pandemic-affected wedding.

From the semi-naked tiered wedding cake to red and blush pink bridesmaid dresses to the 12th century priory-turned-English manor venue, Ryan and Laura's special day was one to remember for all of their loved ones in attendance, even their virtual ceremony guests from overseas and across the country were livestreamed to join in the nuptials since travel wasn't possible for some.

Photographed by Amative Creative and planned by Belle Beauty Events, one of the couple's favorite memories was the wedding party introductions and dancing underneath the stars with their friends and family. Tables were decorated with childhood photos and photos of loved ones passed, and the reception's upbeat vibe came from the fun live music provided by the band and delicious food to fill happy tummies. And it wouldn't be a magical sunset wedding exit without Laura and Ryan dashing through a whimsical wall of bubbles blown by all of their nearest and dearest!
