Years ago one Memorial Day weekend, Lauren headed down to the beach with her college best friend and stayed at her friend's godparents' home... which also happened to be Austin's parents' place! It was only a matter of time when their paths would cross, and a vacay away with mutual family connections was meant to be destiny. Fast forward to a pandemic Christmas proposal bringing much light into a difficult year, the two got to planning an outdoor celebration by the seaside where it all started.
With a color palette inspired by the sea and earthy tones, Austin and Lauren envisioned a beautiful waterfront family and friends-centric day with their two pups, Riggs and Duke, at their side. Their wedding party's attire of dusty blue and sandy beige complemented the range of gorgeous coastal favorites like driftwood, oyster shells, and rattan while their textured florals gave windswept shapes to their bouquets and boutonnieres.
Led by their wedding planner Timeless Styled Events and styled by Kate Fiore Floral Design, Lauren and Austin's ceremony overlooked the water with a giant moongate arch anchoring the open air space to their vows. Riggs and Duke were, of course, very good boys as their humans said I Do! Thankfully since everything was outside, there was a lot more to enjoy with the surrounding nature and to keep everyone healthy and safe while celebrating. All good parties have fantastic food, great music, wonderful company, and definitely mouthwatering cake, and this wedding was no exception! Can we please talk about the gorgeous two-tiered cake beauty speckled with gilded blue flowers in front of their custom neon sign!? Because we're pretty sure we need that setup anytime there's a dessert present.
