This Rifle Paper Co-Inspired Wedding is Bloomin' Perfection

Amanda and Adam waited 441 days to get married. As an original June 2020 couple, they had to reschedule until the pandemic was a bit softer, but just like their brilliant color palette radiating optimism, at least it gave the couple a bit more time to make one heckuva gorgeous wedding day as we are about to see! With the bride as an artist and graphic designer in real life, Amanda wanted a vibrant, multi-colored rainbow style inspired by Rifle Paper Co.'s iconic handpainted florals that would bring whimsy and romance to their special day at the The Old Silk Mill in Fredericksburg. One look at her bouquet, and there is no question that it was a Rifle Paper Co. design come to life! It's modern garden perfection!

Photographed by MJ Mendoza Photography, the couple speckled in oodles of personal details like Amanda custom designing their invitation suite on plantable seeded paper that would bloom wildflowers when planted, a dragonfly to represent her grandfather embroidered onto her gown's lining made from her mother's, grandmother's, and great-grandmother's own dresses, and wedding pies in lieu of cake (flavors like Apple Butter Pecan Crumb, Raspberry & Peach, Lemon Chess, and Bourbon Walnut to name a few!).

Adam and Amanda already had to reschedule their wedding twice, so they didn't want to take any chances having to reschedule yet another time! Health and safety were the utmost important aspects of celebrating together and did everything they could to make it a memorable event with being fully vaccinated, having a smaller guest list, and offering masks, hand sanitizer stations, a spacious venue layout, and even a social distance color-coded bracelet system to help communicate guest hug comfort levels which was such a thoughtful idea! These lovebirds literally showed you can still host an incredible event even in a pandemic, and we are all here for it.

From grownup flowerpeople tossing petals to Adam's floral pocketsquare to Amanda's floral lace dress to groomsmen floral neckties, flowers were the obvious theme and symbolize a beautiful message of new beginnings. From the dark earth, beauty blooms forth with the help of light and tender care. A good metaphor for the kind of year everyone has had, and this beautiful wedding gives us hope for brighter days to come.
