The Big Question to the Tune of Autumn Romance

Nothing gives us goosebumps like sweet thoughtful marriage proposals, and this autumnal coastal one in Yorktown made our hearts swell! Months ago, Andrea reached out to Lanie Garcia Photography to share her plans for a surprise proposal session with her girlfriend, Allie.

The military brings everyone into Hampton Roads at times, and that's exactly what happened with these two lovebirds. Originally both from New York, Andrea arrived via the Navy, and Allie followed her here to make Virginia their home. They had seen each other through some difficult emotional times, and they knew home would always be together.

For someone who is her best friend, soul mate, and forever love, Andrea knew she wanted to pop the question in a personal way that also mirrored the beautiful fall season. With a black and red plaid picnic blanket, hay bale, a pumpkin carved with an A, and a wood-burned signed with the most breathtaking four words, "Will You Marry Me?", the scene was set for a romantic vignette just for two. We loved all the cozy and caring moments, especially the beautiful proposal wine label and Allie's unique engagement ring!
