Edgar Allen Poe Oversees This Intimate Wedding Ceremony

As any Richmond local knows, Edgar Allen Poe has historical significance since he spent much of his life in the state's capital and considered himself a Virginian despite his Bostonian birthplace. So it's only natural that the Poe Museum would be right in our backyard and make for a gorgeous wedding ceremony backdrop for any literary lover!

When it came time for Leslie and Jordan to say their I Do's, they knew that they wanted the quintessential garden space for an intimate wedding ceremony, and the museum gave them just that. With Edgar and Pluto, the resident black kitties, watching over the beautiful spring celebration, Leslie and Jordan loved keeping their guest count small so they could spend time with each and every one. This was especially important because they don't get to see their loved ones as often as they would like. A less formal wedding was what they envisioned, and that's exactly what they had as seen by their beautiful captures by Nicki Metcalf!

For Leslie's love of pink roses, their subtle color palette of pink and navy blue emerged in their wedding attire. Jordan's navy blue suit complemented Leslie's romantic long lace dress with cap sleeves for the ultimate garden wedding look. We love that it was perfectly them, but we'd be lying if we said our animal lover hearts weren't also squealing over the cats making their own little congratulatory cameos!
