As classroom teachers with a very seasonal schedule and a hectic day-to-day, Mary Ann and Spencer knew early on that an elaborate wedding wasn't what they were envisioning for their special day. They just wanted to surround themselves with people and things they loved in the coziest way possible. With leaves falling and a crisp autumn air, the season set the stage for a casual chic handmade wedding at Pocahontas State Park in Richmond.

To complement the sage green jersey bridesmaid dresses, Mary Ann's off-the-shoulder two piece lace wedding gown with long sleeves was a stunner! But the special fact is that her mom designed and sewed this beauty just for her daughter. Talk about handmade perfection and a sweet heirloom to always remember! In the Swift Creek Banquet Hall at the park, Mary Ann and Spencer stayed true to the vibe of the personal event with DIY photo banners along the window and hand-lettered signage around their venue. Even the catering was a food truck that accommodated the groom's vegan preferences! There wasn't a detail that didn't speak of the lovebirds' personalities, and that's the best kind of wedding!
