Heartfelt Fort Monroe Elopement

It's not a story you hear often, and when you do, it reminds you of how precious life really is and what matters the most. Katie and Landon had originally been planning for a September wedding, but life unfortunately took a bit of a turn. Landon's health was declining due to kidney failure. Not thinking a moment twice, they decided their commitment to each other meant more to them than a wedding date.

So on one beautiful sunny day in April, these two lovebirds eloped at Fort Monroe's beautiful gazebo area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Captured by Elizabeth Henson Photos, Katie and Landon's happiness and uplifting spirits were celebrated by their closest loved ones in a ceremony that truly honored love-- in sickness and in health.
