Wintry Half Moone Celebration Center Wedding

Nicole and James met in the summer of 2007 just before they started college at Norfolk State University. During their senior year, their friends circle merged, and they started spending more time together as a group. They interacted more outside of class, in the tutoring lab where they both worked, and through the tennis club-- obviously becoming better friends and seeing each other in a different light. It was four years later in 2011 when they finally had their first date and first kiss. And a few short weeks later, James was proposing! But like all great love stories, a little speed bump came into view. James was starting grad school at the University of Michigan and Nichole was starting grad school here in Virginia... which meant they would spend the next four years separated by 800 miles.

But again, like all great love stories, that speed bump didn't slow them down! While they originally intended to get married after they had both graduated, it wasn't but two years into their engagement that they decided they wanted to get to starting their next chapter together sooner, so they rescheduled the big day during their winter break.

I may be a little biased, but winter weddings are the best weddings! And thanks to Caitlin Gerres Photography and Delta Studio Productions, we can relive Nicole and James' special day in Norfolk.
