Purple Garden-Inspired Wedding with Popsicles

Crossfit brought Jessica and Christian together, but it was the brunch that followed that sealed the deal. After partnering together for a class at the gym, the pair was chatting when Christian found out Jessica's favorite meal is breakfast. Fortunately, that was the perfect segue to ask her on a date, and, as they say, the rest is history.

It was clear that the love of their family and friends was the main inspiration for their wedding at Historic Mankin Mansion, as they involved their guests throughout the day, epic dance party and all. For Jessica, her favorite memory was getting ready in the morning. Due to a few celebratory drinks during their rehearsal dinner, Christian spent the morning in the hotel room with her, and she enjoyed spending the time leading up to the ceremony with him. Captured by Don Mears Photography, this purple and magenta-hued Richmond wedding was filled with lovely garden details such as antique key escort cards, colorful popsicles, crystal chandeliers, and roses for days.

Jessica and Christian shared some wise advice for other engaged couples who are in the middle of planning their wedding. "Don't focus too much on the details unless that brings you pleasure," she said. "The most memorable parts of the day involve the people you are celebrating with and the union you are celebrating for."
