Sweet Handmade Wedding at Chesapeake Golf Club

Over four years ago, Ellica and Taalib met just over Chinese food with friends. And after good food and conversation, the two chatted and developed a friendship with numerous phone calls, talking as much as six hours at a time. Before they knew it, it blossomed into something so much more.

When reminiscing about their wedding day, the bride and groom said it best in their words:
The day does go by as quickly as everyone says but we will always remember the joy of seeing each other for the first time that day during the ceremony. We remember the blessing of friends and family who traveled from near and cross-country to celebrate with us. The day shared our journey of love and friendship and the details woven into that process told our story - reception tables named for special places in our relationship, the ceremony readings that tied into the theme of our vows, honoring our guests with a charity gift reflected what we value as a couple. And the handmade details only added to the warm feeling we wanted to create - from the dress made by the bride's mom to the bride's DIY fun working on the wedding stationery, bouquets, boutonnieres, and bridal gifts. It was wonderful to have so many people who care about us involved.
